Secretary, PNGRB at India–UK Conference on Green Hydrogen


On 27 February 2026, Shri Anjan Kumar Mishra, Secretary, Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB), participated in the India–UK Conference on Green Hydrogen Standards and Safety Protocols held at Eros Hotel New Delhi. The conference was convened by the National Institute of Solar Energy in association with WRI India and the British High Commission in India.


In his Special Address, Shri Mishra emphasized that the scale-up of green hydrogen must be underpinned by regulatory clarity, robust safety standards, validated testing frameworks, and evidence from field pilots to ensure public trust and investor confidence.


He highlighted PNGRB’s initiatives under NGHM Clause 6.4, including India’s first hydrogen blending pilots (2–5%), the Hydrogen Transportation Roadmap, and the proposed National Hydrogen Testbed, reaffirming the Board’s commitment to science-based and safety-led regulation.
