PNGRB Hosts 1st National Consumer Conclave

PNGRB’s 1st National Consumer Conclave was held on July 25, 2025, in New Delhi, bringing together government officials, industry leaders, RWAs, and consumer groups to promote a consumer-first energy ecosystem.

Shri Ratan P. Watal, Former Finance Secretary, GoI, and Chairman of the High-Level Expert Committee (HLEC) on Consumer Protection in the Oil & Gas Sector, delivered the special address, highlighting key policy-level insights for strengthening consumer protection.

Dr Anil Kumar Jain, Chairperson, PNGRB, in his Keynote address, emphasized the regulator’s commitment to a consumer-centric approach, focusing on trust, transparency, grievance redressal, feedback integration, and strong institutional safeguards.

Four major sessions were held which included a panel discussion on the HLEC Report, followed by deliberations on global regulatory practices, cross-sectoral coordination, industry-consumer dialogues on digital innovation, multilingual engagement, and consumer delight initiatives.

The event included interactive Q&A sessions, which enabled direct engagement with stakeholders and reaffirmed PNGRB’s commitment to an inclusive, consumer-centric, and transparent regulatory framework in the Oil & Gas Sector.
